MINI DREAM INTERPRETATION (Sample 1)

Who Am I?

Dream Description From Client

Describe your dream.

I went to a church called Ronchamp to do an interview and was sitting on steps waiting to get in. It was surrounded by concrete instead of grass. A woman came and I told her I was going to interview people. She brought me to a room where a Hispanic man was and he had two babies on a bed. One was bigger than the other and they were crawling around giving each other kisses.

I started interviewing the man. I asked him what he thought of the architecture of Ronchamp. He said it was God's house, so he didn't think of the architecture. I asked him if he liked the curvy lines and how different it was? He said he didn't notice, it is God's house. I wanted to interview someone else. My son showed up and wanted to leave.

Describe what you were feeling during the dream and when you awoke after the dream. Include emotions as well as any physical sensations.

When I woke up I was wondering how and why I was at Ronchamp, so I was curious. I did not have any physical sensations or emotions except was glad that I recalled more of a dream story rather than a fragment. I am not a religious person so the reference to God's house was odd.

Describe any objects or other elements in the dream that seemed important or stood out.

Ronchamp is a church in France that I visited in 1987. It is designed by Le Corbuseir. I am an architect, so had wanted to see it along with other works of Corb as he was known. Beds have been a common dream theme for me and they represent career.

Do you think the dream is related to events or situations in your life? If so, describe how.

I am currently trying to figure out what to do with my life. I am an architect, but also do all sorts of other things like soul coaching, past life work, dream coaching, and am going to come up with a new business. This dream was back at the end of April and only now do I have some clues as to what it is about, but am looking for another view.

Interpretation

In this dream your subconscious mind seems to be exploring your two career areas (architecture represented by the physical church, and "soul work" represented by the spiritual aspect of the church - the man and babies, in this case), and specifically how they fit with each other, are different, etc. The concrete around the church emphasizes its manmade, engineered aspect (again, architecture) - while the interviewer, man, babies, and kissing are the living things within church (soul), the babies perhaps representing pure Divine love. The man referring to "God's house" while being blind to the architectural details may portray the idea of losing sight of architecture while focusing too much on the soul work - perhaps you have a subconscious fear of this? So, in the dream consider that you may be the interviewer (in your role as architect) and the man/babies (in your role as "soul worker").

Feedback from Client

Thank you for your interpretation! It is an ongoing battle with me...who am I? An architect or a soul coach? Right now I am going to do both, two businesses and see where it leads.
