MINI DREAM INTERPRETATION (Sample 2)

Power in the (Snake) Pen

Dream Description From Client

Describe your dream.

I'm in one of the rooms of my grandma's house and in the floor I see a snake curled in a writing pen. Then I'm outside my grandma's house and again I see the pen but the snake is not longer there.

Describe what you were feeling during the dream and when you awoke after the dream. Include emotions as well as any physical sensations.

When in my dream I didn't think much of it. I was just observing. When I woke up I was thinking, how was it possible that I saw the snake perfectly curled in a writing pen, when the pen is small, but at the same time the snake was of normal dimension. Everything seemed of natural dimension. I'm surprised.

Describe any objects or other elements in the dream that seemed important or stood out.

My grandma's house, the pen, and the snake.

Do you think the dream is related to events or situations in your life? If so, describe how.

It seems that I tend to dream daily of events that will happen during the day or few days later. I'm not sure what is the message of this dream. Will I encounter problems because of the snake?

Interpretation

The snake curled in the writing pen seems to be referring to potential power in communication. For more clues about the power, consider the snake: if it seemed docile, it may be referring to an important or powerful message; if it seemed threatening (or if you see snakes as a threat), it may refer to a message that you would feel afraid or threatened by. Consider what powerful message (or source of a message, such as a person or the media) you have been expecting or fearing. If this doesn't describe something that has already happened, perhaps your subconscious mind was referring to the future, or to something you fear/expect about the future.

Feedback from Client

Thank you for the interpretation. I feel more calm now that I realize it refers to communication. Now that you’re mentioning powerful communication, I'm writing an essay that is quite painful to me. Last night I was debating whether I should finish this project or leave as it is. In my dream, the snake didn't even make a move of hurting me or any body else. It just remained still and curled to the pen. Actually, the snake didn't seem threatening. It was calm and it seemed it enjoyed being in the pen. I guess the dream is telling me to finish the story.
